Day 4 found us headed into the city on our way to Matt's office. He's working really hard on the legal team for this one Presidential candidate (who we do not mention by name so that people with Google Alerts don't accidentally find their way to my blog), and we thought it would be fun to take the boys down to visit for lunch.
The area of town where Matt works is near Reagan International Airport, so there are different decorated airplanes every couple of blocks. Isaac thought this one was really neat:
We had a delicious lunch at Corner Bakery.
Then we went to Matt's office. All of us were able to see the legal offices - they just moved to a new floor of the building where everyone works. Emily was nice enough to wait downstairs with the boys while Matt quickly walked me through the main headquarters. I have no pictures to share, but I will tell you that it was fascinating. We couldn't stay long, but it was neat to be able to see how many people are working so hard on this election. Especially to hear Matt tell of how much things have changed since he started working there back in December.
On our way home, we went to Wegman's. If you have a Wegman's near you - I don't like you. If you don't - you may not ever want to visit one, because you will always wish that you could shop there every week for your groceries. We browsed the aisles for as long as we could with three tired boys before buying gelato and our groceries and heading back to the townhouse.
Then, we let the boys play outside. I'm just going to post a few of my favorite pictures from the afternoon:
On our last day, we watched the Olympics, ate breakfast, played with toys, packed our stuff and rode to the airport with Matt. We had a great time and we are so excited to have part of our family on the East Coast!

Awww. I miss Miles' smiles!
Ah - yes, well - you know I can practically WALK to my wegmans... and yes, it is likely my favorite place in the universe - especially now that I have TWO that can go to the playplace!!!!!
Rebecca - I almost had to text you again because I couldn't for the life of me remember the name. Then our cousin mentioned it - and that there was one down the street from the PF Changs where we were eating. Unfortunately, the one by Emily doesn't have a playplace (at least they didn't list one on the website), but it was still a thing of beauty.
I love Wegman's! Brent & Karen have one by their home and I always loved to go shopping (or just looking) there. A very cool grocery store. Smith's & Albertson's just don't compare.
