9 Months Old

What G-Man says is true - he is 9 months old and he does love to destroy things. You can see in this picture below that he is happiest when surrounded by chaos.


But he sure has a great smile.


He's been practicing his bongos every day, and I must say, he's got natural talent.
A great sense of rhythm. He's also very good at patting his hands on his lap and can even follow a beat. (It brings a tear to my eye.)


And he has become quite a voracious reader. He laughs as he's reading his books now. And then he eats the books. (I really want to make a joke about him devouring his books or something like that, but I can't think how to word it well. So I'll spare you. You're welcome.)

Oh, and he is huge. When he was sick a couple weeks ago, the doctor weighed him and he was 19 pounds 12 ounces. I can testify that he is heavier now. I'm anxious to go to his 9 month appointment to confirm the new ache in my arm muscles. And he fills out his 12 month clothes and pajamas. He's growing like a weed.

We have so much fun with him, and I can't believe he is already 9 months old. People tell you how fast it flies by, but I think they understate it a bit. Maybe because they don't want to scare you if they were to tell you how fast time actually goes by, or maybe because they can't think of anything good to compare it to. Either way, it sure goes by fast.
