I promise.
I loved SYTYCD. Sad about Billy. Hoping to do a full post later.
It's been busy round these parts.
We took a trip to the other side of the world.
I'll post some more pictures of that soon.
Then I took another awesome trip to Kansas City that I can't wait to write about.
And I've been taking pictures.
Lots and lots.
Pictures for me, pictures of G-Man, and pictures of wonderful people that I feel so fortunate to be meeting. You can check out my photography blog if you want to see the wonderful people.
For now, I need some sleep. But I promise I'll be here more often.
Especially since we have another season of SYTYCD to enjoy together.

Gap Casting Call
It's that time of year again. The time of year where I enter cute pictures of G-Man in the Gap Casting Call and he doesn't win. ;)

If you want to vote for all four, that would be awesome.
If nothing else, I love that I had an excuse to take some fun pictures of him over the last couple weeks. He's getting pretty good about posing and/or looking at the camera if I can catch him in the right mood.
He totally gets robbed, I tell you.
One thing that is new this year is a voting competition for Fan Favorite. I entered the second to last day of the casting call this year, so we're a little behind in the voting, but if you have time to vote for him (you can vote once a day until November 17), here are the links:

TV Night!
It's the "Green Mile" episode of SYTYCD tonight. I love that dancers handle themselves so well in situations like this. Of course they're disappointed, but they don't act like the AI singers when some of them get cut.
Loved the new credits with the Season 5 kids! Awesome.
I'm really glad they are showing some of the dancers that weren't profiled during the auditions. And hooray! Bianca the Tapper! And three kids from Utah! (Mollee, Ashleigh and Ryan) Looks like a great Top 20.
And Glee was so cute tonight. I would really like Matthew Morrisson to do more singing than rapping, but I loved all the dancing. And I'm thrilled the wife was no where to be seen in tonight's episode.

Improv Everywhere - Grocery Store Musical
I follow the blog of a very creative, fantastic photographer in NYC named Katie Sokoler. She comes up with such great projects. Perhaps the best gig she has is as the photographer for a group called Improv Everywhere. I first heard about them on NPR and have checked in with their exploits periodically. It's awesome. Katie posted a blog about their latest mission. You must check it out if you have time:

October so far...
We went looking for some of these...

...and also found some awesome pinecones (acorns to G-Man).

Isn't that an adorable face?

Then, we went to pick some of these...

...and we ate a whole bunch.

Sometimes two at a time.

We paused by some pumpkins for a quick photo op...

...and then got back to the very important business of eating apples.

And thankfully, we captured what may be one of my favorite photos of all time:

Happy October, everyone!
