Turkey Invasion

A few weeks ago, some neighbors told us we had three wild turkeys that had been walking through our yard. We smiled politely, but since we never saw them, we weren't quite sure what to think. Then, we spotted them walking through a neighbor's yard.

About three weeks ago, Diggity came into the house calling for me to come outside with my camera. He'd spotted two of the turkeys.

They were in our oak tree.

40 feet off the ground.

Did you know turkeys could fly? We didn't. It was a pretty crazy sight.

We saw those at your house last week. I thought there were more than 3. They were across the culdesac from you. Pretty fun!

That's wild! I had no idea they could fly.

I saw them crossing the street while we we're there. I suggested carving them up for dinner.

I think you just found a way to save $35 this Thanksgiving. See, the economy is already turning around. Ü

How cool is that?! Growing up in Alpine, we had deer in our yard, but Turkeys- that's just too much fun! Glad you caught it on camera.

Turns out there have been as many as 8 turkeys in the neighborhood. It also turns out that our neighbor across the culdesac has been feeding them. No wonder they have been sticking around...

Yesterday she said she hadn't seen them in several days. I guess my opportunity to save $35 just flew south for the winter. :)

By the way, love the new banner.

Just to make you feel better about your $35--come to Canada and be prepared to pay A WHOLE LOT MORE.
