Notes from New York - Friday (Part 1)

After spending most of the night trying to convince G-Man that he DID want to sleep in the hallway of our closet sized hotel room, we woke to greet the morning and made our way across town for our food tour of Chelsea Market.

Waiting for the tour to begin

Still waiting...(we arrived early)

Eleni's - Our first stop. The cookies and cupcakes are divine. We went back after the tour.

Our tour guide, Ed, shows us a lobster at The Lobster Place

Our tasting at Buon Italia - an amazing Italian grocery store

Food cases outside Buon Italia. I loved that some of the food was in regular Pyrex casseroles.

Amanda!! Look what we found!!

Manhattan Fruit Exchange. Gorgeous produce.

Amy's Bread. Delicious. They make thousands of loaves a day and you can watch through the windows.

Stonybrook Dairy Milk Bar. Best. Chocolate. Milk. Ever.

Diggity pushing G-Man down the main hallway of Chelsea Market as we made our way
toward the terrible event of the day...

Ooh, fun! I have been wanting to do this for a long time. I definitely need to do it on the next trip.

It really was great. We'd love to do the Greenwich Village tour, but they don't allow strollers because the streets are crazy and not all of the restaurants have ramps.

You are so brave to do something like that with a baby.

i have always wanted to go on a guided walking food tour. anywhere, really. but who am i kidding--any trip i take is really just a food tour, whether it is guided or not!
