Family Picture Wall

I've been hesitant to re-hang pictures since having the downstairs painted this last spring. I love my walls. I love my pictures too, but I wanted to put as few holes as possible in the walls and end up with something I really loved. So, I've been plotting and thinking and planning and now have new collections of pictures throughout the house.

This is the first collection in our TV room:

I've added some pictures since taking this photo. I have another layer of 8x10 and 5x7 photos on the outside edge of what you see pictured above. You get the idea. I decided when I originally hung the pictures on this wall that I wanted all the frames to be black. So, I spray painted all the frames that weren't black already. I really love the way it looks with the different style frames and pictures, but having the frames be the same color.

My favorite part is the vinyl monogram in the middle. I wasn't sure if I wanted to start adding vinyl on my walls, but I found this company and LOVED their designs. They are more expensive than some companies, but they can print large sizes and dual colors and were really great to work with.

This is our other collection in our front room. I'd like to add another vinyl element above the picture of Diggity and I from our wedding day, but I'm still trying to figure out what I want to do.

More picture fun to come!

Loved your picture walls - especially as I am selling the house and must take down all my family pictures. Your vinyl was not the first time I have seen and liked the technique, but the first time I thought I might like to do something like it. Rhonda

Oh you need to come do MY picture walls! I have tons of pictures, but I'm horrible with arranging them! If only I could get my husband to paint first then I'd really be motivated to try and do a fun wall! Great job! Your walls are really fun!
