Looking Back

My friend Ace sent this in an e-mail. I thought it would be a good post.

What was I doing 10 years ago?
I was living in Dublin, Ohio and had just started teaching general music and choir at Crestview Middle School in Columbus, Ohio. I really can't believe I started teaching at long ago. It was such a different school than I am teaching in now. I say "was" because the school has since closed. Though it was an eye opening and difficult experience at times, I'm very blessed to have started my teaching career there. The friends I made there are still treasured friends today.

What was I doing 5 years ago?
I was back in Utah and was in my second year teaching at American Fork Junior High. I was helping Ace with "Seven Brides for Seven Brothers" and I was also coaching the tennis team. I had just come through a break up and I was in the beginnings of online dating. Oh, the adventures.

What was I doing yesterday?
Yesterday I was running errands with G-Man and managed to accomplish 85% of the items on my to-do list. Including going to Stroller Strides class. I also went to the mall to buy some clothes that fit for our trip to California. I have resisted the idea for several weeks, because I knew it meant shopping in stores I do not want to shop in.* I survived and came home with clothes I like.

These things are always so fun. I didn't know you liked Twix bars--yum. I do, too. How fun that you found clothes you like. I've been looking and looking--good thing those people in China have not seen my clothes, because most of what I'm taking on my trip is the same old stuff!!! (I THOUGHT FOR SURE WINNIPEG WOULD BE ON YOUR LIST OF 5 PLACES YOU'D RATHER BE, ha,ha,ha!!!)
