Six Months (and five days) Old!

G-Man had a great Six Month celebration. After spending the day with the Hutchins while I worked, we boarded a plane and went to meet up with Diggity, who has been on a business trip in California. He had to visit clients in Southern California and Northern California, so we went to So. Cal to meet him first. On Saturday, we were able to go to Disneyland and hang out with Molly, J and Baby Macy as well as Grammy. They all came down from Utah to go to Disneyland too. We had a great deal of fun. It was interesting to see how he responded to all the sights and sounds. I thought he would get excited and start screaming like he has started to do lately, but instead he got very quiet and just looked around at everything. According to that criteria, he liked It's a Small World and the parade the best. He also liked trying to pull the lever on Dumbo. But of everything we did and saw and bought, I think G-Man likes his Mickey ears the best.

Right now we are in Northern California and we've been hanging out during the day while Diggity has meetings. Though on Sunday night, we got to meet up with the last of Diggity's family that hadn't met G-Man. Last night, we went out to Half Moon Bay and G-Man had dinner on the beach.

We get to go to the doctor when we get home and get stats on how much he has grown. (I can tell you unofficially - he's grown a LOT.) I always love that stuff, even though I feel sad for him when he gets the shots. He's such a sweet boy. He's a good traveler (though he did have a rough time on the flight to California. He just wouldn't settle down in his car seat and sleep. I finally had to lay him on my chest and have him watch Baby Einstein until he fell asleep. Thank goodness he'll fall asleep in my arms or the flights would be absolute murder.), he loves rice cereal, sweet potatoes, pears, bananas, carrots, prunes, and squash. He's nice about tolerating peas, oatmeal, green beans, applesauce and peaches. He's started drinking out of a sippy cup and we're finding that he really likes fresh fruit. He has one of those little net teethers you can put fresh food in. He enjoyed fresh canteloupe this morning at the hotel while Diggity and I were eating breakfast. He babbles all the time and as I said earlier, has started to scream. It sounds like he's passing a gall stone or someone is torturing him, but if you look at his face while he's screaming, he's happy as can be. I can imagine what he's doing to his vocal cords. We sure love him and we're so grateful to be his parents.

Hey, don't forget that babies come out already knowing how to breathe correctly. I would imagine vocal chords are the same. As we get older and we get stupider and forget how to do all that good stuff. :)

i'm jealous about Disneyland. We're saving our pennies so the boys and I can go next year. I think they'll have a blast!
